                    (Mumeijuku-Hien)
Director Tomoe Ryu (Yasuko Miyazaki) recollects
this drama:

"Koji Yakusho, who had been at Mumeijuku for two
years, sang songs, accompanying himself on the
guitar.  It was a ghost story with a musical element.
The theater was packed full.  It was a fearsome but
beautiful drama."

                     {Story}

Around 1945, a stage-lighting technician,  Shima
Urataro (Daisuke Ryu), who has just returned from
the war, is in love with a beautiful actress, Towa (Ai
Kanzaki), who wants to continue acting, remaining
young and beautiful eternally.

Urataro promisses Towa that he would try to put a
good lighting towards Towa's face so that she would
look beautiful all the time.

One day, Towa hears that Urataro has committed
suicide.

Years go by, and Towa still continues acting,
remaining young and beautiful....
